I have commissioned Mr. Pisano to restock five Remington single shot rifles over the past 10 years. I have original Remington custon shop guns in my collection and can assure anyone that the fit and finish of Mr. Pisano's stocks rival that of early 20th century artisans. Top notch workmanship, speed of service, and attention to detail make Mr. Pisano's stocks a true value in every sense.

About five years ago, I got the urge to have a really fine rifle made on a small martini action. I had seen Dominick Pisano's adds in various magazines, and was intrigued. Then I went shopping for wood, and contacted Don Cantwell, of Chico, CA. I asked Don if he new of Mr. Pisano. He gave Dominick the highest recommendation. I bought some wood from Cantwell, and contacted Dominick. Several months later, I received the completed rifle. It exceeded my expectations. It is beautiful. Not only is it a great trolling piece for gunshows, it is an excellent hunting rifle. You may have seen it before, as it was featured in Rifle Magazine 'Custom Corner' in issue #185.

For those of you who feel you cannot afford a custom stock, let me tell you, I am not wealthy. I am an electrician. I feel that every now and then a person has to pamper oneself. I did it by having Dominick create a very wonderful rifle.

As the owner of not less than eight different rifles created by Dominick, I can emphatically say that he is the best.

From 19th century antique, to Schuetzen, to classic modern, his stock designs are expertly crafted with superior workmanship. It is obvious by looking at one of Dominick's creations, that this man cares about quality.

I would highly recommend Dominick to anyone who is looking for the perfect stock to go along with the perfect rifle.

In 1997 while attending a Houston Gun Collector's Gunshow, I visited with Dominick at his table and fell in love with a "work in progress" namely a pre-'64 Win. Model 70 Featherweight barreled action in 30-06 in an unfinished highly figured stock of English walnut. I asked Dominick if he could have express sights installed, matte blue the barreled action and shape the stock in the traditional British express rifle form with short forearm and ebony tip a la "Rigby". When completed, this express rifle was a pleasure to the eyes! The checkering was sharp and inletting exact. I received many a compliment on this fine firearm. Not only was it a dream to look at, but it would shoot an honest 3 shots into a .75-1 inch group all day long. This rifle accompanied me to Africa in mid-1997 and perforned superbly. At the present time (2004) Dominick is putting the finishing touches on a 98 Mauser in 35 Whelen in a Bastogne walnut stock. Dominick is in constant contact, mailing pictures and correspondences on the progress of his work. I cannot more highly recommend a stockmaker that basically an "artist with wood" to make the rifle of your dreams!
