"I spent 12 hours yesterday doing a full barrel break-in on my gun. Besides the heat and the rented mule kicking my shoulder ALL day long I thought it went pretty well.

In fact, the gun produced better results than I though it would. I loaded my cartridges myself with H-1000 powder, Sierra 168gr HPBT and Federal primers. My spread of powder grains were 72 -80.5. The best groups measured .577, or essentially 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards. So far my best velocity for accuracy has been 3210 fps. Pretty good for a hunting rifle! In fact, very good.

In the 12 hours of shooting and barrel cooling, people would cycle through the range and pass my gun on the rack or the rest. Many people would stop and stare, and try to figure out what kind of rifle it was. A lot of comments were made as to the beauty of the wood. Some people asked what kind of action and calibre I was shooting. The owner of the facility, Bill Carter, asked if he could look at it. You may or may not know Bill Carter, but he is a man that KNOWS guns. His comment was that whomever inletted and checkered the stock did a gorgeous job.."

"Buying a fine piece of walnut can be a risky and disappointing business if you are not dealing with someone you can trust. Dominick not only delivers at a fair market price but is a real artist when it comes to creating a stock from a beautiful piece of wood. I just finished a hunting trip where I had the occasion to use a rifle that he had stocked. The rifle shot well and sure impressed the people with me."

Today I pickup a Weatherby that he restocked for me and it was a super job. Thanks again Dominick.

I am writing to let you know how happy I am with the 45-70 High Wall you built for me. Your workmanship is very good. As I told you when we first corresponded, I have a Bachelor’s degree in wood working and the stock of a gun is very important to me. I was looking for above average figure, fit and finish and you have delivered all three, and I might add at a very reasonable price.

As we discussed over the phone, many times, quality work combined with poor service leaves a person with bad feelings. In your case, each time I look at your rifle, I not only see quality but I think back to the extremely professional service you have provided me, these last 14 months. Having a background in the mail-order field and as a veteran of many hundred personal mail-order transactions I will go one step further and say: I have never dealt with a more professional, conscientious and diligent individual as yourself, be it mail-order or in-person.
